Mechatronic Engineering (Master’s Thesis) Master’s Program Qualifications

  1. Knowledge of mathematics, engineering, and interdisciplinary topics related to Mechatronic Engineering; ability to conduct scientific research in mechanics, electronics, control systems, and software, to access knowledge broadly and in depth, generate, evaluate, and interpret information, and write a thesis.
  2. Extensive knowledge of current techniques and methods used in mechatronic engineering (IoT, Industry 4.0, artificial intelligence-based control systems, robotics, sensor fusion, embedded systems); ability to apply these techniques to complex mechatronic engineering problems.
  3. Ability to identify and formulate multidisciplinary problems related to the field of Mechatronic Engineering, develop integrated solutions to solve them, and apply innovative, sustainable, and intelligent systems approaches to these solutions.
  4. Ability to select and use modern techniques (simulation software, CAD/CAE tools, MATLAB/Simulink, Labview programming, microprocessor/microcontroller-based systems) and tools required to analyze and solve complex problems encountered in Mechatronic Engineering; ability to effectively use information technologies, artificial intelligence, and machine learning tools.
  5. Ability to design complex mechatronic systems or processes (autonomous systems, smart manufacturing systems, robotic applications, sensor-actuator integration) and develop innovative, energy-efficient alternatives.
  6. Ability to design and conduct experiments for mechatronic systems, collect and process sensor data, model and simulate system behavior, perform data analysis, and interpret results related to complex problems related to Mechatronic Engineering.
  7. Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical-electronic, software, control), conduct independent research, and manage project teams.
  8. Knowledge of at least one foreign language (especially English) at level B2 of the European Language Portfolio; ability to write technical reports and articles; ability to prepare clear and understandable technical documentation, make presentations, and engage in professional communication in international settings.
  9. Ability to systematically and clearly present the processes and results of research and implementation in written form (articles, posters, technical reports) and orally in national and international settings (conferences, symposiums, scientific journals).
  10. Awareness of the need for lifelong learning; ability to adapt to rapidly developing technologies (digital transformation, Industry 5.0, sustainable technologies, artificial intelligence), access information, follow the latest developments in science and technology, and stay constantly updated.
  11. Awareness of social, scientific, ethical values, and cybersecurity issues in data collection, system integration, discussion, presentation, and all professional activities; sensitivity to the social and environmental impacts of technology.
