Welcome to the Department of Mechatronics Engineering

Mechatronics Engineering is an interdisciplinary field that combines the principles of mechanics, electronics, control theory, and computer engineering to create economical and reliable systems.

Established in 2011, Çankaya University’s Department of Mechatronics Engineering offers a comprehensive four-year undergraduate program taught entirely in English. The department is supported by a distinguished faculty with expertise in their respective areas, as well as experience in scientific research, teaching, and industry. Our well-equipped laboratories and classrooms enhance the learning experience for students.

Graduates from our department earn the title of “Mechatronics Engineer.” These professionals are registered with the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers of the Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects (TMMOB) and obtain licenses in accordance with their areas of specialization.

Mechatronics engineers have diverse job opportunities across various sectors, including manufacturing, construction, energy, chemicals, defense, and pharmaceuticals. They can find positions in factories, construction sites, power plants, and research centers, particularly in high-tech companies that utilize computer-integrated production systems. Their skill set allows them to adapt to technological advancements, making them well-suited for roles in research, development, and innovation within factories and workshops, as well as offering opportunities for freelance work.

If you have any questions about Mechatronics Engineering or our department, please feel free to reach out. I encourage all prospective students interested in Mechatronics Engineering to apply to our program.

Sincerely,

Department Chair of Mechatronics Engineering
